The most successful teams believe 5 things

After coaching 300 startups, we identified 5 beliefs that predict success.

What beliefs predict startup success? Good news, we have data. 😀

My co-founder Nopadon has now interviewed over 800 teams for our coaching program, so he used AI to analyze the transcripts of our most successful companies.

In about 9 seconds, we had our answer.

The most successful teams believe five things:

  1. Belief 1: This isn’t a quick fix. Growth challenges require a systematic data-driven approach, not tweaks and optimisations. No single hire or tactic will solve it.

  2. Belief 2: Growth requires commitment. The best teams know that growth is a team sport, so they clear the decks, involve their most talented leaders, and invest real time to improve customer acquisition.

  3. Belief 3: The answers are not inside the building. Successful teams seek expert help, talk to customers, dig into data, and run experiments to uncover key insights.

  4. Belief 4: No sacred cows. They're open to rethinking long-held beliefs about their product, customers, and strategy. They prioritize ruthlessly and see new or contradictory information as an opportunity, not a threat.

  5. Belief 5: They are ready to execute. They value speed and action over endless research and debate. They learn by doing.

Sounds obvious AF, right?

Look, most leaders would agree with these statements, but the hard truth is most companies don’t act like it.

Funny thing about my business… our biggest competitor is hubris. (And so is yours, btw.)

If you’ve got it all figured out – just waiting for the next “can’t miss” tactic, or your next big hire… I wish you all the best.

But if you're ready to focus, invest, and adopt a structured approach to growth, we should talk. Book a 15-minute call with Nopadon. Worst case scenario, you get some free advice, and we get another transcript to train our AI model. 😏

I hope this helps
